No hot water, second time in 2 months

We have a Ti200 Trinity boiler used for 2 DHW tanks and radiant floor heat for the basement and part of the main and second floors. It is 14 months old. About 2 months ago, there was no hot water. The plumbers came and re-set the unit simply by removing one of the air lines, waiting less than a minute, then putting it back. Tonight we have no hot water again. Do we need to call the plumber again, or is there something we can do to fix it ourselves? We are in Calgary, AB.

    Without more info...

It'd hard to figure what's happening. However, there must be a control somewhere that says, "Hey, the guy in the shower has to win any and all contests." That's called hot water priority.

If they forgot that design, you will run out of hot water the colder it gets. Given the relative sophisication of that boiler, I doubt the installer would NOT install a hot water priority control, but it would not be the first time a mistake happened.

You stated they reset something. As in resettable device - or as in a change in optional settings?
