Todd, please note
that though the various igniters can be interchanged, some have very sublte differences that can require a different igniter bracket. The best replacement brackets come with an appropriate shield.
IMO all HSigniters are a bad idea as there is an industry accepted failure rate that the manufacturer expects service people to be good for.
We have gone away from HSI completely and have opted for the much more relaible Honeywell spark type ignition system. Retrofit kits are available for our older models.0
