    Triangle Tube Prestige Boiler

Has anybody installed one yet? Thoughts and how does it stack up against the Buderus GB142? The stainless heat exchanger looks real nice.
    Thanks,
    Pete

    European installers please advise

My contractor informed me that the prestige is a european design. Doing some homework shows that the Prestige Solo a design from ACV in Belgium. A major difference as I see it is the euro models are concentric vent while our are not.

Does anyone out there have experience with ACV boilers and the company?

    The Triangle Tube PS110

With Buderus giving us a 4-6 week lead time on the GB142 we need another Wall Hung option. We have the PS110 in stock, none sold that I know of. Stainless Heat Exchanger looks nice. But, has anyone installed one yet?

    installed

We have installed a couple. We found them a little different to install. We have no problems from them.

I would recomend that you take the instructions and read them several times before starting. This what we do with any product before we show up at the customers place.

Sorry. I'd never heard of them. They have 14 boilers, gas or LPG, listed on the SEDBUK website (UK government efficiency testing) all above 90% seasonal efficiency. They don't seem to be a big operation in the UK at present.

    Installed one

last week. So far it runs like a dream. Easy to install and much less costly as some German condensing boilers. Comes with a circulator and outdoor reset is built in. Just add an outdoor sensor to enable it. I think I like it a lot. I'll try to add a picture. WW

    W.W.W.!

meaning - Wow Wayco Wayne! Nice looking job!

One of my wholesalers have just started stocking them. Hey Wayne, is it true that that boiler has a seperate S/R for the HWT? That would be a nice option!

I've installed one so far and was impressed with how easy it went in. There is a separate supply for dhw off the boiler but the return ties back into a common return. Leo G, was the stocking wholesaler you were mentioning Sheret? That's who supplied the one I used and I was wondering if there was another wholesale in the lower mainland stocking them.

    Try Emco

they just took on the line. Are they as easy to install as the Munchie? How about the venting, what is the total length allowed?

Actually, when I went to their website, I thought that this was the boiler that Allied was talking about bringing in for a condenser to sell.

I guess they didn't jump on it fast enough! Oh-well.....sigh......

I believe you can go 60 feet on the venting with no elbows. Minus 5 feet for every elbow.
I haven't installed a muchkin, didn't know they were available here.
That's great that Emco is stocking prestige, I'm up in Squamish and that's the only wholesale in town.
What's going on with allied? It seems they are a little behind the curve. I haven't installed any of their products in quite awhile.

    Thanks Leo

for the kind words. Went in easy. A 2.5 day job. I was talking to "Papa" from Foley mechanical at the Radfest Trade Show last week. He has installed several and recommends that you mount the boiler on some 2 x 4's to lift it off of the wall a little so you can get to the back pipes easier for connection. I think next time I will make my first connections before I hang the boiler. Reaching up and under to screw on the MPT adaptors was awkward. WW

    Hey that's

(Squamish) where my old partner used to live! He upped and moved to Costa Rica, about 8 months ago! Not much heating work down there.

The Munchkin is handled by MPH. Actually, they are going to be having another Vision One training seminar coming up in Nov. I believe. If you're interested, try Roger @ MPH @ 939.4471.
