and lighter than CO2 so the CO detector should be above the floor.

What CO detector were you planning on purchasing?

    CO detector....

    One of my kids has taken to "living" in the basement with his computer, XBox, etc. I want to place a CO detector down there. Isn't CO heavier than air (excuse my ignorance)? Should the detector be down near the floor level? Thanks.
