However, the new commercial model will support remote sensors. It's a restricted product, available from any Honeywell Commercial distributors.

    chronotherm replacement

    Hi Bill:
You are dealing with a novice here, so please bear with me. My recently purchased home, a three story brownstone in Brooklyn with only one thermostat and big ole hot water radiators. It has an OLD chronotherm (the model numbers of which I cant be certain I have figures out 191108AJ? 972181?) that turns the gas to hot water boiler on very well. What I think is not working is the timer, and I also think that the actual thermometer might be off (this I am not so certain about). I cannot set the clock by manually moving the lever that triggers the dials. So I want to replace it with another Chronotherm (my heating guy raves about Chronotherms). Please tell me which model would be best. We do not have AC. I want to be able to set the time for turn on and turn off twice a day, if possible. My boiler is a Weil Mclain and Co - PCG 61. Conserving energy is key. THANKS SO MUCH !!! Keep warm. Beth

    Try the new TH8110U1003 VisionPro...

It will work nicely with your system. It's battery powered, 7day-programmable, Touch-Screen control and very easy to use. They are available from any Home heating pro, use the Find a Contractor feature above to find one in your area. Thanks for using Honeywell products!

    Bill,

Could I use that thermostat with two remote sensors, and disable the onboard sensor, so that I can place it in the basement of my rental property and put the two sensors in the apts? woudl htye average the temp or call for heat if either dropped below temp?

    Thx

    Do it myself

    HI BILL -
Sorry to be a bother, but I was wondering if there was a comprable Vision Pro thermostat that works with my system (see first message in this thread) that I can install myself? We have no AC, and four little wires, so I hope I can save my cash on installation and buy a new...tablesaw (if honeywell made those, I'd purchase yours!) No really, I welcome spending cash on a good product like the VisionPro, but if there is any way I can save some dinero on installation.... As I said, the chromotherm that I have is very old, and only has a simple four-wire hook-up. ARe there any others in (the 8000 series?) that you would suggest? Thanks again --=- Beth

    cad cell relay

    hi bill,
i am working for an Oil company in sayville New York and i actually ran into a problem that even my boss didn`t had an answere for me!
i did a service call at 9.00 pm the other night and a had a new afg 2 beckett burner with the delayed oil valve on the pump, the seal was blown on the pump so i exchanged it and disconnected the delayed oil valve on the cad cell relay,my problem now is that the burner ran for 2 sec on went into safe mode.
i couldn`t figure out why so i changed the relay with an older style relay and everything worked.
my question to you bill,is there any way to place a jumper on the relay to make that work??
or any other way or is it just impossible to mix the new electronics with the older style???????
Thank you so much up front
    David
