All said for customer service
Why don't we raise some dough to pay for a truck rental and driver to deliver the V300-79g tank from Gary in Boston to Ken in NJ? That way, Ken gets what he badly needs and his customer doesn't have to wait.
I'm in for $100.00...Maybe Viessmann (and the wholesaler)can match my donation to the Ted Lowe fund.
However if I were a Viessmann rep, I'd be asking to borrow one of Viessmann's corporate jets for overnight international delivery of the tank to Ken. Now that would really satisfy the client. BTW,I know we have several V00-79g tanks in Seattle, which may be slightly cheaper to ship.

Silent auction
I'll kick in another $100.00 to help with the transportation cost to get it out to our brother in need.

Could someone be so kind as to fill me in on some details here. How soon is this tank needed? I have a workshop seminar coming up in Mass and I would not have problem renting a truck from here for my travel and bring this tank home to Ken on my way back to PA. Oil Tech Talk will cover all expenses for the truck. After all Kens been there for me more than once.
Thanks Guys

Helping Ken through this crisis
Chris, you better make the roadtrip to help Ken when he takes delivery of the V300 tank. Ken may not know what to do with the hemp wicking Viessmann supplies with the tanks. Make sure he gets the tube of paste dope....
For all we know, he'll roll a cigar from the hemp wicking and complain that the Fatherland has crappy hemp..:) He'll be cursing those conversion nipples and wondering why there's no brass unions supplied with the tank...This could really offset the trade imbalance between Germany and N. America.

Paul,
Funny you should mention that....After my last 120 gal. Verticell, I had the bag marked "hemp" stuffed in my toolbox. Its a sealable bag, and I threw a couple extra cutting wheels into it to keep them from rusting....
One of the new guys saw the tag on the bag and just HAD to ask what that was all about.
I'm sure our friend Ken will get what he needs, but it may take some time to get him a bit more relaxed reguarding the runaround..... HMMMM, Maybe that hemp might be a help?
Things occuur,(nice way of saying....POOP happens) we just have to deal with them and move forward. Lets all say this together ....OOOOOHHHHHHMMMMM.OOOOOHHHHHHMMMMM. Chris0 -
