I need to replace a oil fired steam boiler. How can I decide what oil boiler is the best one to buy and where can I check for AFUE ratings? Thank you

Try
the Find a Professional page of this site. Since you really can't go wrong with any of the major brands, go with the one the contractor is most familiar with. AFUE ratings can be found in the boiler brochures published by the manufacturers, or on the Web. Note that AFUE is by no means accurate- just like EPA mileage ratings. But within a class of the same type of boiler, it does give you a way to compare one boiler to another.0 -
which steamer
I agree totally with Steamhead's post...hire a pro. but if your looking for advice, I've used them all over the years, and when it comes to steam, I use Weil-McLain. If the customer wants something else, I let someone else do the job. That's how convinced I am that Weil makes the best steam boiler out there. just my humble opinion.
