Its not electric anymore.

    Buderus st300 tank electric anode question

    Just one quick question ,i was under the impression that all st tank came with a electric anode kit but on recent look see at a job i noticed one missing from the new tank the plumber said there was nothing there and the rep said there's a anode in it but i though it was wierd that the top still had the plastics cut out where the unit would go and the back strap for the electrtical connection was removed has something changed or did the wholesaler pull a quick one and is bs ing the plumber thanks peace clammy

    Ted is that on all the st line or just the larger units that hole in the front looks like poop peace clammy

    I believe they got rid of it for warrentee issues,because people where not plugging them in and buderus has no way of knowing if they did or not.

    ST Tanks

    The ST tanks now have a magnesium anode rod. The tank top cover has a blue blank plate covering the cut out for what was the electric LED display. Due to many electric anode rods not being plugged in, it was decided to switch. The electric anode rod is still an option and can be ordered seperately. We are working on on an aluminum anode rod for " smelly water issues". If there are any questions please contact us at 1-800-283-3787.
