1 Cold Steam Radiator

Interesting rad and problem, the air isn't leaving quickly enough, since you say if the vent is removed the rad heats ok. So, there must be a blockage somewhere that's slowing down the flow. I think the pitch on your rad is ok from the picture but a check with a level is always good. You said the valve was open, did you take it apart? I would remove the vent bushing and the valve core and pour water into the vent opening, it should freely flow out the removed valve stem proving the flow in the rad is ok. If ok I would then flush from the vent opening to the boiler wet return broken open to a floor drain. The flushing can be specific depending on the piping going to the offending room.

    1 Cold Steam Radiator

This board has been great in the past for answering my questions.

All my steam radiators get hot except for 1.
That rad is not the furthest from furnace. The rad is also
in a small room with another rad that does get hot and stays
    hot.

So, after checking that the supply valve was open on the cold
rad, I turned to check the vent. It had a gorton c which
    wasn't broken shut. So, I thought I'd give a gorton d a try.

At best the new gorton d gets warm in the beginning of the
furnace cycle. If i take the gorton d off the rad, it gets hot, which i believe tells me there's nothing wrong with my
    rad or shut-off valve.

    - the rad that doesn't get hot, is larger than the other
rad in the room that gets hot and stays hot.

Any suggestions for the Steam Gods?

ps: here's a pic of my radiator that doest get hot. Anyone
    ever seen these rads?

    How do you

measure the EDR of this radiator?
