Radiator vents

This is probably the silliest question I have ever asked but here goes.....

I want to install Gorton vents on my radiators however, I don't see a "boss" on the vent that I can use a wrench on.
You see - my paws are not as strong as they used to be and I'm having a problem installing vents, such as Maid-O-Mists, because there is nothing to grab onto.

How do you get these in without a wrench - creating a leak at the threads ??

Thanks
Dave

Just a couple of thoughts--I'm sure you'll hear from others also. You might get a 1/8 pipe tap and run it in the vent hole several times to make sure the threads are good and also clean. This helps with sealing, without having to rely on a lot of torque. Also, I have found a turn of teflon tape around the vent threads seems to give a good seal. Be careful not to get the teflon too close to the vent opening because it shreds somewhat easily and you don't want to get any pieces of teflon into the vent itself because it might interfere with seating of the valve inside the vent.
