What type of Engineered Floors should you not use over Radient h

The key to any engineered flooring over radiiant heat, is the knowledge of the installer, and his installation technics. Make sure the wood is acclamated to the enviorment in which it is going to be installed for at least a few weeks. Make sure your installers checks the moisture content of the wood and the flooring before installing it, Ive seen to many jobs where the floors do open up, cup or check, because these flooring guys are hauling it out of the back of a truck on a 20 degree day and nail it down as fast as they can carry it from the truck. Make sure your radiant installer knows what type of wood you are using, so he can properly desighn a water temperature to create surface temperature to heat your room with ouit over heating the wood.

    Good heating design

I've seen many different types of wood flooring installed over radiant heat. They've all worked wonderfully. However, you will run into problems if you're not running the right waqter temperature through the system. Make sure the hydronics system designer is savvy to the type of floor you're installing. Also talk to you're floor guy, make sure he's familiar with installing over a radiant floor. The powers of thermal contraction and expansion are not to be trifled with.

Check with the manufacturer of each flooring as to what their max surface temp is.

Theres less moisture in engineered flooring, so typically they are not a problem,. but as allways check with your flooring manufacturer.
