pump pumps but water is not flowing
I have a hot water baseboard system with 2 seperate pumps. The pumps swicth on and rotate , however one zone does not appear to have water in it. I have watts pb56 purge valves, and when I rotate it to purge no water or air comes out.It has the slotted screw for the butterfly and I can turn it and still dont get water????0 -
Either no water, blockage or frozen0 -
Don't overlook the obvious
Maybe the circ is rotating, but not generating enough head to do the job. Half burned out,or ?? Years ago I saw Chrysler car getting hot- 'stat was OK, appeared to have some flow in the radiator as I remember.
Water pump was turning... on the OUTside anyway. The impeller had cracked on the shaft. It may have been turning a bit, but wasn't doing the job. A new water pump solved the problem. Kevin0
