    One Pipe Steam Baseboard.

    I have a project where they have a one pipe steam system.
    They want to install "Burnham Baseray" or similar of various lengths.
    This building is a very old college dormitory, they say its not possible to change to a two pipe system.
    Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    return needed

    More than a few running feet, a return will be required or it will not work properly. it is not basicly designed for one pipe steam systems

    You must remember Baseray baseboard is only 3.3 sq ft of EDR per running foot. Not much heating from them. If you know the EDR requirements per room you can look into Governale Govray Radiators. They can be recessed into a wall or stand alone only 5" deep and have plenty on iron for their size.
