    Cal was pretty much the only reason

    for Orioles fans to watch them play for the last couple of decades. After he retired, unless you were a Baltimore masochist or rooting for whoever the Orioles were playing against, there wasn't much reason to watch them at all. At least the Ravens are doing fairly well this year.

    You have to hand it to Cal- he could have gotten any amount of money from Steinbrenner or anyone else, and played on championship-quality teams, and collected numerous World Series rings, but he chose to stay in the area he is from- Baltimore.

    He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
