Monitor heater oil supply

Anyone have any experience with monitor heaters? I replaced my Grandfather's rusting oil tank with a new Dehoust dbl wall vert with suction asmbl. I didn't know the monitor doesn't have an oil pump. I went back after the first call and pulled a vac on the supply line and got oil. My thoughts were that this would be ok as long as the tank did't go empty because it is higher than the heater. It's run for two months, now out again, was I wrong with that theory? I gues they make a pump but I am getting no return phone calls from Monitor or distributors. Do I need a pump? Where does it go? Where can I buy it? I admit to knowing nothing about these heaters and should have NEVER changed that tank without doing my homework! Any contractors in that area I could hire? The job is in Moultonborough NH (Lakes region) I am a small heating contractor in Central MA 2-3/4 hrs away. This was a favor for Gramp's thats really starting to hurt. Thank's in advance for any help!!
