Something always ruins the picture...
...in this case, it's the oil spill.
Gotta pick your battles.

She's a beauty , John .
In a tight spot , no less .
What brand thread sealant do you use ? It looks light brownish ? Does it work good on larger threads too ?
Very nice drop on the header and I like the 2 flow checks for the indirect and the valve for the skim port .
You guys thought of everything .

Nice John
Nice example of dropped headers. I'm not sure if you may be aware of it, but we provide a tapping for the aquastat in the boiler right next to that Indirect supply tapping and another tapping on the left side of the boiler directly opposite the supply tapping for the Indirect return. No problem with the way you have it piped, just pointing out ways to make the next job easier for you. Thanks for the posting!

Cool
Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone.
Ron Jr., we use Hercules Pro Dope (grey) most of the time. To be honest, I can't explain the brown, but I'm intrigued. I might go take a look tomorrow. My suspicion is that one of the helpers wiped everything down with a wet rag and the threads rusted a bit.
