Magic Sliders (www.magicsliders.com) work GREAT under CI radiator legs to remove the friction between floor and radiator and thus silence the expansion and contraction noises of rad against floor (or blocks), and protect the floor too.

I emailed the mfr who replied they should be good to around 300 deg F. They said they had never heard of this application.

I have recently deployed a bunch of the 25mm discs which are not much thicker than a fat washer and fit within the footprint of my rad's legs. I have also tried a few of the 60mm caster cups - these seem to need as large and thick a washer as you can fit in them to spead the load over the whole disk and keep it flat to the floor.

These are available in numerous national chains - see the list on their site. Check em out! The quiet during heat up and cool down is really nice.

(of course they won't help if your expansion noise issues are risers and/or runouts rubbing building structure...)
