i am currently bidding a job that is staging 12 triad 300,000 btu boilers for heating purposes. existng controls are triad system. bid calls for 9 stage tekmar control. ever hear of it. dont you think a six stage reset control tying in two boilers per stage would be sufficient. or are there any other controls you suggest.
thanks for any input.

The tekmar 268 is the 9-stage control. Here is the PDF - http://www.tekmarcontrols.com/literature/acrobat/d268.pdf
I would say it depends on what the smallest load will be. If the smallest load that will run by itself is 600,000 BTU, then a six stage control tying 2 boilers together will be sufficient. However, if there is any single load that is less than 600,000, you would be better off being able to only fire 1 boiler @ 300,000 BTU. You will have less short cycling, less temperature swings, and better efficiencies.
