I also had the priviledge of having ken resnick as an instructor in wilson tech boces. He got it going for sure.
I wouldnt recommend anyone else to teach ya after being in his classes. I still call on him for answers that our own service manager cant help on .If ya can get into his classes at boces and really want to learn , then do it .

trying to put a name with a face well look no further. goto wilson tech and pull up the spring catalog turn to page 25 and you will find my favorite professor! He looks sooooo intersting. at this point in the course he has broken out the "resnik 2000 teaching enhancement device". notice how focused he is explaning the honeywell 8184 primary control. All kidding aside ken is the best and i am already signed up for his oil 2 class. ken thanks for a great job in oil 1 mike.
ps anyone on longisland looking for an oil burner course look no further!0 -
Mike ,
Thank you for the nice comments. Although the photo should have been of the class, you guys are the one's that deserve the cudos, you all did wonderfully in oil 1.
If I would have known the photo's were being utilized in Boces spring catalog I would have worn my Sunday best!
Thanks again ,see you on March 7 (6:30 pm prompt) for first night of oil 2.

Dr ken
few professors prepare their lession plans as well as ken. Rather than call him Dr we would bribe both ken and pat with candy ;0. oil 2 is filling fast only 12 spots left. By the time the catolge is out "on the news stand" the class will be closed or on the brink of closing. I am in some advanced electrical classes and we are talking about line voltage, control wiring and safety circuts and ken was the one who layed the foundation in oil 1. Did he have the Resnik 2000 Educational Enhancement Device when you took the class? After just a few nites i was motivated to camp outside bld C like i was on line for greatful dead tcks! I was getting into oil 2 no ifs ands or butts.0 -

Michael,
Thanks for telling me about oil 2 filling up , i better get my check in today then .How many in class till the course is full ?
If your meaning the control and wiring simulators (educational enhancement devices) yes he had a couple in oil 1 and he said we will see more in oil 2 . We also got a forest load of paper work in oil 1 and some really cool tools guages and charts. I filled up the biggest binder i could find at staples and was about to start another one. Really looking toward oil 2. Ken said we are going to learn all about hydronic ,warm air and steam controls. Im not so good on electric so this should help me alot since he said oil 2 was all about controls , wiring , troubleshooting. we are also going to wire a hydronic boiler and oil burner.Gonna be real cool.0 -

Wilson Tech , Ken Instructor
Hey guys thanks for the info too. I took oil 1 with Ken Resnick too. It was a great course , I learned more from him than I ever learned from anyone. Took a plumbing course a year ago at Wilson Tech (instructor name not important, he was or is a town inspector) and I thought that was ok , not great though, then took oil 1 and wow , that guy can teach. See you guys in March , I just signed up. Thanks to Ken I am also now in the oil heating field and doing well. After oil 2 then we can all do more at work too.
Thanks Ken ,

Wislon Tech Open house for Ken's classes
Just read that there is an open house at Wilson Tech. Western Suffolk Boces, where Ken Resnick teaches two oil burner courses. It is on Wednesday Feb, 4 at 6:30 pm.
I called about it and everyone is welcome. They said Ken will be there answering questions about the courses.
