    Water coming from air vents.

    Wet return lines in a church hall were replaced due to leaks under basement floor. About 20 feet of return line at the end of one main is about 8 feet above the floor due to doorways. The last radiator and the main air vent on this main now spit water. We capped the vent and shut off the radiator valve to eliminate the leaks. Any thoughts on this problem?

    The work was all done using copper pipe with solderless fittings. There are 4 other radiators on this main that are not causing a problem, it's only the valve and radiator that have a 20-30 foot run before joining the wet return.

    What is the diameter of the copper pipe on the 20-30 foot run?

    return

    on a long run [ over 7 or 8 running ft. ], a return is a real plus and usually necessary for proper operation.

    The copper return is all one inch.

    A line has been added from the bottom of the radiator opposite the steam input.

    Water coming out of 2nd floor radiator vent.

    It appears this return was pitched incorrectly causing an airlock. Repitching eliminated the problem. Thanks to those who replied.
