The other foot is about to drop.
the kitec failure on open heating system continues to manifest.
word has it that the owner is going to take action against the contractors involved. My question is this, should kitec orange al be able to last in this install. I know the answer from experience is that it can't, but according to the mfg.spec's it should.

How long did it take before the Kitec "failed"?

I have no open heating systems installed but we did use Kitec for a while in domestic plumbing applications and NONE of it has ever had an issue. Systems have been in place for almost 10 years.

How is the pipe failing? Do you have any photos? The fact that it is an open system should have no effect on the tubing.

I would be curious to see why it failed.. I guess that would be the criteria as to who should step up to the plate in my mind.
