As long as it is sized to handle the area it is heating, you should have no problem switching it

New (old radiator) install
I have a one pipe steam system with 1 1/4" supplies and valves to all the existing radiators. Found a nice steel tube radiator at a salvage yard with a cast iron top that I would like to install in my front hall. The supply is 1". Should this cause any problems other than the repiping issues to the new 1" supply and radiator valve? Thanks for your help.0
