radiant and domestic off of a water heater

I am running a Bradford White Combicore for domestic HW and Radiant. This unit has a heat exchanger built into the tanks to use for radiant heat.

For controls, you can use the same controls you would use with other heating sources, except you will always be heating the water in the tank and then modulating the temp with a mixing valve. I use a simple mixing valve, not one with outdoor reset. Be sure to use a flow check to avoid flow from convection.

Been working fine for five years.

    Yes, it's possible.

And doing it with a heat exchanger of some sort is the only way we'd consider it.
