Heat loss

Watts per Meter of pipe length of a given size especially if the table presents it per pipe size.
Otherwise it would be per square meter of pipe outside area, in which case that would be a constant and would drive you nuts trying to apply the information.
By the way, one Watt per Square Meter works out to 0.3107 BTU's per Square Foot (3.413 BTU's per Watt and 10.764 SF per Square Meter) but check my math...
Sort of like expressing velocity in Furlongs per Fortnight...

Heat loss from fluid in pipe
I found a chart showing heat loss from fluid in various size steel pipe at varying differences in temperature between the fluid and air around the pipe. The loss is given in W/M . Is this watts per meter of pipe?
Thank you0
