under cabinet heat

I have one source of heat in my kitchen. I installed an under cabinet heater that mates to my baseboard hot water system, an Embassy unit. Well, I havent had much luck with this, as my 2nd unit already has worn bushings on the blower motor. Embassy will not sell/replace the one bushing that is closest to the motor itself. The other bushing is available, but of course the motor side is the one that is worn causing vibration and noise. Is there an alternative to this type of unit? I only know of the Embassy. The model I've used is the HAV-88, they call it a Hide A Vector.

Thanks, Tom

    Kick-Space heaters

    Tom,
Rest assured that you are not the only person with the kick-space heater woes. They are infamous for noise production and poor performance. The best design I have ever found is by Turbonics, called the Toester. The fan is not a squirrel cage design (axial) but a propeller type (radial) that mounts in the top of the unit above the coil rather than behind the coil. I have had no complaints from any customer since I discovered them, and that includes the wife!

I know a few houses that have Beacon Morris heaters and one in my house,so far so good. No other complaints from the people who have em.

Went on a service call once where the lady complained of a horrible squealing noise coming from her kick space heater...found a mouse caught in the squirrel cage...no lie...I have witnesses!

I have a Twin-Flo unit in my kitchen...24 years old and still running fine. For the ones I do have to fix...Johnstone has a c-frame motor that has heavier duty bushings...just match the mounting dimensions.

Is the part you need included on a larger replacement assembly? I would think you can get every part but maybe not individually.
