Pull the chassis off the base, held on by I think 4 captive screws. Tighten all wires on sub base. Clean the contact surfaces of the chassis and base. Put back on, if still doing it, check and see if it is sticking in purge and not going to trial for ignition. May very likely be a bad timer card. If not then probably a bad chassis if never making it to spark. Plugging in a new card is the quickest way to check after the cleaning and retest.

Hey Bruce thanks for the response, I'm trying to make sense of the wiring diagram on honeywells website. When I was troubleshooting the control I wasn't getting any power running to the ignition. Could you please help me with the sequence of operation with the control? I'm trying to figure out the operation of the purge timer? And what does the purge timer control? I need help...Thanks0 -
Questions
What color is the flame signal amplifier, green or purple? Is this an oil or gas burner? Atmospheric or forced draft? Water or steam boiler? How is it controled? One thing to watch out for with this control is it has "safe start check". On a call for heat it looks to see if there is any flame signal. If there is it starts the burner motor , removes power from the purge timer and prevents power from going to the IGN,PILOT and MAIN burner terminals. It will keep the motor running until the flame signal is corrected. bobThere was an error rendering this rich post.

the purge timer can bad as well --letting it purge only --and not advancing --0
