Boy am I confused about what these guys where trying to accomplish? I don't understand what they are trying to use the tank on the left for. I guess as some sort of storage tank but this does not seem like a very efficient way to make D.H.W! We are trying to develop a new piping arrangement.

Any Suggestions?
