I have always been told you can never alter a boiler like your suggesting beacuse the boiler will condensate from under firing.

    Please help (LP burner)

I seem to recall a thread some time ago about the ability to take an orifice out of a gas rail and plugging it. I have a customer who has an LP boiler that is too large for the home. My question is 1) how many burners can be taken out to knock the BTU's down and 2) must it be a middle section versus and end section. Any help would be appreciated.
