    Same here Gary

I can't afford a regular health care plan anymore, we're with Fortis, a "health savings account" type outfit. BCBS is insane here in Michigan. Last I checked they were over $800/month for a decent plan covering two healthy adults, Singles were in the $550 range and that was two years ago. Now my HSA plan is darn near where BCBS was then. I hate to think what "Blue" is now. It's getting to the point between taxes, business insurance, health insurance, fees and the like that overhead for a legitimate business puts you at a distinct disadvantage to a lone guy flying by the seat of his pants.

Those prices would be a bargain here in Maine!! Too bad it is illegal for us to buy our ins from out of state!

Insurance is propably the main reason I don't run my own business any more. Between health ins, workers comp, liability ins, auto ins, etcetcetcetc. And then try to pay yourself a decent wage and save some money and what about retirement??????????

Anyone says it's easy never tried it.

I consider my self very fortunate I work for a good company with good insurance as my wife is fighting cancer.

    Ditto!

Even with a "dreaded" HMO, which is a good one BTW,I got out of business for the same reasons. Especially since I'm a diabetic.

Can you explain a bit more about that? One of my guys mentioned HSA this morning, so now I'm eager to learn more. Thanks for any input!
