question is...will it work???

most indirects are starting to go with 1" to/from boiler and even if it was 3/4" you'll never get full flow

say you had a boiler with 3 zones, 1, 3/4" pipe coming out of the boiler and then spiltiin to 3, 3/4" zone valves, once more than one zv is calling your flow will drop off or even stop, it will take the path of least resistance

indirect and basement loop off of one supply pipe

Can I split one of the zones on my copper manifold into two loops with each having its own circulator? One loop would be for an indirect tank with a priority and the other to heat the basement with CI baseboard.
I have a 4 zone manifold with only the 3 zones currently being used to heat the first and second floors.
My boiler uses NG and my system is Hydronic. It can handle the extra load and the supply and returns on both the indirect tank and my manifold are 3/4 inch.
    Would this work?
    Thanks Jim

Gene, the indirect I was looking at (Burnham) had 3/4 inch supply and return and it would be on priority so flow would be OK. Am I correct? Jim
