What make/model boiler?

I would have to see some actual insurance policy verbage, but in my opinion its like taking an insurance policy on the mechanics of your car.

Imagine the policy premiums if I wanted a policy to replace my car should I forget to put oil in the engine.

Keep on top of the waterline, and water consumption and you can expect great life from your boiler.


In your specific case it sounds like a possible defect.

    boiler insurance

    Does anyone know if boiler insurance is available/advisable for residential steam boilers? Our 4-year-old boiler developed a leak already and it was suggested to me that our insurance agent should have offered us boiler insurance as an add-on to our homeowner's policy. Any feedback would be appreciated!
