I think that the fire tube design makes the unit a bit less prone to the normal buildup, and the condensate will wash the ways further, but routine maintenance should always be done.

prestige boiler
Does anyone have experience with the prestige condensing boilers. I was told that thay do not need to be cleaned0 -
Loaded question. The Prestige is an awesome boiler for the money. We install atleast one a month. This month we did three. However I think the Jury is still out on that one. That is what the manufacturer claims. I see the point of their theory but quit simply the boiler hasn't been out long enough to make a beleiver out of me..0 -
Prestige, nice condensing boiler for the $$
I would not buy off on no cleaning, I think all condensors are going to need annual service to keep shut downs limited. Tim, IMHO0 -
Prestige
It says right in the manual, that it needs to be inspected & cleaned, checked out annually.

I'm with you guys
I think the Prestige is an awesome piece of equipment, but anything that burns needs to be cleaned eventually.
Protect the investment with annual maintenance.
