    Pex hard to control

I am running 3/4" orange PEX w/ oxygen barrier up to the second floor baseboard in my home. I am having a hard time straightening it out and making it do what I need it to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As you can probably tell, I am not a plumber.....I am a poor carpenter at this point trying to keep warm. Thank you.

    orange pex

3/4" is miserable to begin with. The best advise is to get it as warm as possible. It is easier to manage if it's warmer. Why 3/4" ???? A long run or lots of BB?

Lots of BB and long runs. I was told by the person who sold the Buderus system to me that the larger the pipe, the more water in the pipe. The more water, the more efficient. Less shock to the system he says. True?

1/2\" would likely do what you needed done...B that as it may..

the best thing for ou to do is think "Swoopy" do not think tight 90's think "i am hoszin er in" and make the bends wide...

Is it Kitec. If so have someone stand on the end as you roll it out on a hard surface cut the lengths you need then install. Work the bends by hand alittle at a time until you have the shape needed. You can make kitec look ok if you have patients.

    Slinky PEX

Use 20' straighs. Same material but easier to handle.

There is about 50' total BB. I am running each section individually, home running them to a mainfold. I hear theat a loop is inefficient beacause the first in the loop will be the hottest and so on.

    Thank you
  • how many feet in each run??

    Mike,

50 feet total is great. That totals about 3 GPM. Thats about right for a single run of 3/4 PEX.

Now, how about you tell us each "loop" length of BBD and how many total running feet on each loop from the time you leave the manifold to the time yu return.

    Thanks

My longest run including BB could be as long as 60'. I hope this isn't pushing it. But this is 1 run, the rest are 50' or less.
