Great actor. Him dancing to "Puttin' On The Ritz" in "Young Frankenstein" was pricless. He was buddies with John Lennon. He also was from my Dad's old neighborhood in SW Philadelpia. Quite an interesting career.

Peter Boyle just passed away. Star of probably the funniest movie ever, and the guy with the perfect delivery on the last TV sitcom that will ever be worth watching... Holy @#$*!

Was a very good actor. I first saw him in "Hey Joe", and then in "Taxi Driver". We'll miss him.

Huge Loss!

Any actor who can go from his hilarious character in "Young Frankenstein" to that complete yucky creep he played in "Monster's Ball", and do them both so convincingly, gets an A+ in my book!

Either way he was a great actor and fun to watch no Matter what he did. His last years as Raymonds Dad were classic.

We've lost a good one. His last year in Raymond he wasnt looking so good. What did he die of? He was very versatile, but I will always remember his comedy roles, esp YF. WW

According to the NYT Obituary

Peter Boyle died of mutltiple myeloma and a heart condtion.

(Myeloma is one of the blood cancers, multiple myeloma affects the bone marrow.). He was 71 and will be missed.
