HB Smith 8 series Steam boiler

One of my customers has one of these boilers and it is no good {leaking} serial number is d-96 -222 p s/w 5 . I have a feeling the d- 96 is the year it was manufactured so I am sure it is out of warrantee. Anybody know for sure ?
