The Subcooler Accord

After convincing the single-most influential group of people on the planet here at the Wall, subcooler also successfully convinced the G7 group of influential wealthy nations to adopt his subcooler binary control accord in a measure to promote energy reductions among the world's richest nations. After all, his toaster doesn't modulate, never mind that I can't cook fried eggs now because my stove is either on full or off. No biggy... I can survive without them.
So I drive up the street in my converted car. It's kind of lurching as I toggle the on/off accelerator to maintain the speed limit up to the corner. I find it kind of fun but it's a little hard on the tires, especially when I hit the button to lock the brakes so that I can stop.
Now it got fun. I turned the steering wheel to the turn left position, waited for a gap in all the lurching traffic and then toggled the throttle on.
Three full donuts later I figured I might be much safer on my bicycle, since it didn't require a conversion kit. I strapped on my now mandated heart rate monitor and started bicycling up the street at my required target of 70% max heart rate (this had been changed from 100% due to so many heart attacks after cyclists had ridden for any amount of time longer than 3 minutes). Once I got to the first hill, I realized I couldn't climb it without my heart rate going over and alerting the authorities so I decided to walk my bike at 70% instead. I was walking a bit fast for the other pedestrians doing their 70% max heart rate so I frequently had to stop, messing up the faster walkers behind me.
I finally got to my job at the newsprint mill only to find out that it had been closed because they had to start and stop for each roll and because of it costing tens of thousands of dollars to refeed all of the paper through the drying rollers - they just couldn't afford to stay in business.
So I decided I needed a vacation. The problem was that the jet I was on was newly converted to subcooler accord specs. The taxiing was fun, but not as much fun as when the pilots had to land the jet by flicking off and on the turbine engines.
Finally reaching my hotel, I got in the elevator and pressed the 8th floor button. No soft starts here anymore. After slamming to the floor then the ceiling of the elevator I finally crawled at 70% max heart rate to my room. I jumped in the shower and was instantly scalded by non-modulating water temps...
I wonder what day 2 is going to hold in store? ;-)
