oil burner makes high pitched sound

I just got a customer comlaint that the oil burner was making a very high pitched sound, then it would go off in reset. Any preliminary suggestions?

Check
Oil filter, pump strainer and oil lines for restrictions provbably one or all three plugged.0 -
pump noise
If it is cold out, gelled fuel or gelling in lines will do it.0 -
water ...

lots of gunk on the oil fan blower motor squirl cage,....
furry creature wrapped around the pump /motor shaft...
ice...
thick / gelled fuel...
tank lines far from ideal...
are some ideas to check...0 -
yet more..
dirty tiger loop with a hair-line crack in the top.
