Carrier electric unit. The fan will not shut off. Honeywell chrometerm III thermostat off switch has no effect. Only the main breaker shuts off the unit

Diagnosis
It's hard to diagnose a problem over the internet. My best suggestion to you is to call a pro to look at it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.0 -

I ran into this problem before. it is in your t-stat I can't remember which one i used but try different ones you will find one that works.0 -
Sequencer stuck!!!
Almost for sure it is a stuck sequencer causing this. contacts probably fused. Inside control cabinet is where you will find. Don't go in there unless you understand electricity and it's hazards. Tim0 -
Fan on
Could possibly be tripping a limit switch which would keep the fan on, could be a stuck relay, or the stat.0 -
Along with all the good advice given
have you done any work in the house lately, a misplaced nail or staple may have penitrated a t-tsat wire, had it happen to a customer who installed a new t-stat and while pulling the existing wire out of the wall scrapped the insulation off the wires and the staple created a short.0
