What is this?

I found a couple of these in my truck. It is about 4" long. 3 of the "bars" are square and range from about 1/8" to 1/4" square. The bottom piece is flat. All 4 parts pivot of the single attachment point so it folds flat. My only thought is that it may have been a measurement tool for electrode settings.
Anyone?

I've seen square bars similar to those used to remove seats from large shower valves.
It is possibly a set of seat removal tools. In truth, I've never seen a complete set such as that may be.0 -
More importantly Paul
HOW did they get in your truck????
No idea what they are.

Almost looks like key stock. Well, at least 3 of them do.

Boy, do I hate to admit I know what it is, maturity showing. It was a bar stock gauge set used for setting up ABC Sunray burners. Depending on nozzle spray angle, the retention head would be set forward or back. One burner that had PIA settings for electrodes. In most cases no one read the instructions or for that matter used the gauges.0 -
When I started with this company I inherited this truck. (Knew I should have stated that in the original post) The guy who used it before me was the top tech here before he retired. Going through this truck was like going through a time machine. Lots of old parts to lots of old boilers and furnaces.0 -
Thanks ****
I knew it had to be some sort of measuring device. It's not built strongly enough to be a turning type tool.0 -
Hang onto them, Paul
there are plenty of ABC-Sunray burners still out there.
If you need setup info, you can find it in the Just For Teks section of www.oiltechtalk.com .
