vent comparison
I spent a fair amont of time trying to compare the different vent options. I have spoken to a couple of the companies directly. The Maid of the Mist vents are 1/2 of the cost of the Gorton vents and 1/3 of the cost of the Hoffman and Varivents. It's hard to believe that they can make the same quality vent given those price differences. I try not to pay more for things than I need to, but you most often do get what you pay for; so someone would have to convince me that the Miad of Mist vents work as well and last as long as these others.
The Varivalve people were extremely nice and quite convincing on the phone regarding the overall quality of thier product and I am leaning in their direction0 -
Gorton is the best
Jack:
Speak to Ken Kunz at Gorton. His number is (908) 276-1323. The good thing about the Gorton vents is that once you've experimented a bit, it is easy to balance out your system. Gorton also has excellent main vents. Speak to Ken about that as well. It is worth the phone call.
