becket burners

Check for fuel delivery problems. Dirty filter, pump strainer, oil line, etc. Leaking oil line fittings. Too many elbows or oil line length. High vacuum can cause oil to gasify. Cold oil can give ignition problems. Hope this helps.

Could be a number of things.. I know you came here looking for an answer but it might be best to call a heating tech.

The new burners are so tightly designed that some times the cad cell doesn't get a good "picture" of the flame...so anything that makes the flame go burp will push it into lockout. Dirt, dust, cat hair, poor oil quality, sustained positive overfire draft, sustained negative overfire draft, etc... As the other gent said, electrical nonsense and stray electrons will also cause the protectorelay to lock out. Make good notes on everything you can think of relating to the current conditions when the nuisance lockout occurs and that will be a huge help to the serviceman.
