Radiator - Oven. Actually another bun warmer. Wish it was in New York, I'd but it in a second. Would look great in the kitchen in Long Beach.

The owner is using it as a 400 pound TV Cabinet. Bidding starts at $1500. Yikes!

    Looks to be

in good shape. I have a customer who has one in his kitchen. It came with the house. He was told it was for keeping dishes warm when serving dinner. I have a "save the radiators" Tee shirt with a picture of one of them printed on the back. Check out the merchandise here on the Wall. WW

    Hi Wayne,

Here at the ol' supply house, we have a working dining room radiator that sits proudly in the counter area, looks a lot like the t-shirt model. We think it is a "Detroit Ornamental". It is discreetly hooked up with pex tubing.

People never fail to notice it and ask questions. The warehouse guys keep their gloves in it....toasty.

It came out of a house in an older upscale neighborhood north of downtown. We had it stripped of its original paint, took it down to bare cast iron. I then applied a coat of high temp aluminum paint, which was the best method of duplicating the "silvering" process that we could come up with. That was about ten years ago. This past summer, we cleaned off the dust and grim, slapped another coat of "silver" on it, and she looks great. The owner has passed on some offers in that $1500 range, says its priceless. I couldn't agree more.

    Best regards, Pat
