circulator problem

I have several of these installed, they have been no problem.
I used to use the B+G isolation/check valve flanges, no more though. I had two call backs for no heat due to sticking checks in these flanges.
Both where the result of floating rectoseal pipe dope in system. The contamination was not big globs believe me, it was almost invisible. The problem with these flanges is the check cannot be serviced with out disassembly and draining.
The Taco IFC can be serviced after removing the cartrige.

anybody had any problems with the circulator with built in flow check ,arrived on site and found boiler pressure 60psi and found the built in check sticking, replaced with standard pump till i can get replacement. Is one circ with check favored over another.0 -
To answer your question
No, I'm qereous why your bioler pressure was at sixty pounds though, that is up with that?0 -
So far
the only IFC I have seen stuck was when someone tried to backfeed a heating loop with 30 psi can hardly blame the check.0 -
with the internal flowcheck in circulator was closed and pump running created enough pressure. isolated circuit and changed pump ,pressure at 18.never seen that happen new pump around 200.0 -

Some times when purging the system with the pump on the return, and the purge valve after the circulator it is possible to fill the system with city water pressure, because the flow can not go through the pump. For your reference I have attached a recommended piping diagram for IFC pumps.
