It does make a difference, but the control you select depends somewhat on what type of radiant floor installation you have and what type of boiler you have. The control you select also depends on whether you are willing to re-pipe some of the mechanical room.

    I have a raidiant system with no outdoor reset dose it make much differance? if so who is a good manufacturer and how hard to install

    I have a slant/finn boiler in slab pex downstairs and staple up underfloor pex upstairs

    Likely you have a three-way thermostatic mixing valve for the lower level and the staple up is either on the same type of mixing valve or running at boiler temp. If you have an indirect water heater a Tekmar 260 would be relatively easy to install. If you do not have domestic fired off the boiler, a Tekmar 256 might be the way to go.
    Every boiler should at least have a 256 or equivalent control.

    Is your staple-up pex noisy when the zone calls for heat?

    Andrew thanks for the info. No the staple up pex is not noisy they used lots of clips when it was installed so it wouldn,t make noise thanks keith
