steam problem

Have 1 pipe steam convector oil system. Get 50 min run time. Boiler then goes into short cycling for up to 1 hour. Runs 3-4 min on30 sec. off. Boiler is clean, pressuretrol is set at 1 psi with a diff. of 2. The first off period boiler is going off on pressure. This happens on the morning heat call when room temp. is coming up from 65 to 70. Boiler is sized and fired to load.Any ideas???

Sounds right to me, if all the radiators are fulled with steam before the boiler cycles off. The boiler is cycling on pressure.
Make certain everything is vented well so the mains and radiators are rid of air as fast as possible. Are there main vents on the ends of mains? They make a huge difference.
You may want to replace the pressuretrol with a vaporstat so you can heat with ounces instead of pounds. May save a little on the initial run time.

You might also try
slightly down-firing the boiler. It might be rated conservatively. Don't go too far or it might be slow to make steam from a cold start.
