New steam boiler

... it takes the better part of a day to skim and clean a new installation. This is where the low bidders or their customers usually get bitten.

Skim, skim, clean, go away for a day then do it again and again.

If you put the skim water in closed end pipe and heat it with a torch to boil it you'll see if its still foaming and needs more cleaning.

    New Steam Boiler

I installed a little replacement Burnham steam boiler in a small church. 650,000 btu matched to the radiation and altitude. Steam outlet on each end. It trips itself on LWCO occasionally. I'm sure it's from oil on the water. I have some stuff called "Hercules Scout" but most Hercules products are cheap immitations of real ones in my opinon. What would you guys use to clean a new boiler? I've heard of TSP [trisodiumphosphate?] from you but am not sure if this is the application. Any advice would be great. Spotts
