Correct radiator branch piping

I'm still hoping someone can help me with this question. The main problem is that this radiator never gets as much steam as the rest. Even if I remove the vent while the boiler is steaming, it never gets hot all the way across....unless
I shut down a couple of rads up the line. I would be grateful for any thoughts/advise.
Thank You

Having trouble with radiator
I have a one pipe steam system. For a long time I've had trouble with one radiator in particular not heating correctly. Unfortunatly, this radiator is located near the thermostat and so its function effects all the rest of the rads.
Recently, I was pouring over Dan's Lost Art book and found instructions about how to pipe a branch off a main. I've taken a picture of the radiator's piping and would appreciate any help...I think the branch does not have enough
(or any) pitch. As I understand it, without pitch the condensate will get stuck in the branch and wil effect the steam. (Sorry this picture is so big, I haven't figured out how to size them correctly.)
Any thoughts?0 -
Here's an attempt to correct the picture size.0
