Steam system overfilled - potential problems?

The fill valve for my steam heating system was left slightly open resulting in a steam system and steam radiators full of water to the point where two radiators started to leak. Once this happened, I closed the open valve and started draining water from the system to get it down to it's appropriate level. The leaking stopped and the heat kicked back on. Is there something I should do to the system or problems I should look for now given what happened? Do I need to have a professional come check the system out?
Thanks,
Kurt

What could happen is the weight of the water could sag supply pipes. If you now hear hammering it could be the problem....0 -

Your system will likely need to have some air vents cleaned out or replaced. It may also need to have the pigtail flushed.
Don't worry, if it needs anything it will soon let you know.Contact John "JohnNY" Cataneo, NYC Master Plumber, Lic 1784
