How Much Air...
...is in cast iron radiators.
None of the old charts or Guides seem to address this, nor does any of Dan's books. Would be nice to know for figuring air vent sizes.
No, I'm not talking about E.D.R. here -- just the volume of the contents.
Anyone know where this information might live?

From old rule-of-thumb regarding water volume of standing radiators:
IN PINTS! AND PER SQUARE FOOT OF EDR!
Column rad: 1.5 pints/sqft EDR
Flue rad: 1.75 pints/sqft EDR
Thin-fin tube: 0.807 pints/sqft EDR
---------------------------------------
1 pint = 28.875 cubic inches so in the instance of column rads:
EDR * 43.31 = approximate volume of air in cubic inches

You must of misssed some
The Dead man's steam school workbook has this info, as does a newer publication....I haven't got it yet though. Also a chart with the capacities of various vents can be found in Deadmans and I believe in the other book too.

Workbook?
Let's see... been to the night school, no book there and I think I own just about everything he's written.
Did the work book come with the video course or something?

Yep, came with Videos...NM
