Oxygen Barrier

An illustration of how important the barrier is. Every nick in the barrier has a little crater of rust around it. This system has been in service since 1998. It had two ECD 115 boilers and Roth pex-c. It now has a Vitodens 15-60.

Thanks for sharing!
Your excellent pictures vividly illustrate the importance of treating the PEX piping well and the effects of letting the O2 barrier get nicked.
Did you have to replace the tubing or why did you notice the discoloration, etc?0 -
The carpenters hit a tube
in some Thermofin-C with a screw during a remodel.
I am impressed with how a VERY small nick in the barrier will cause formations like this.
